Samsung Galaxy J6 revealed, may have an 18:9 display

Samsung Galaxy J6 revealed, may have an 18:9 display”

This will suit the phone admirably, as it is very befitting for the king of the Korean mobile giant's smartphone series. And if the latest leak is to be believed, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could also embrace the notch, after all. Samsung is unleashing this smartphone upon the South Korean public.

The internet free device is aimed towards students in particular who need to focus on their studies without any distractions. The exam is seen as vitally important and can have a massive influence on the rest of a student's life. The value of J2 Pro in Korea - $185, but unusual "smartphone" you can get for free.

The phone still lets you make calls, send texts, take photos and videos, and whatever else you can do offline. There's no 3G. No 4G or LTE. Forget about Wi-Fi. Nothing.

Unsurprisingly, it seems that the J2 Pro is only being released in Korea. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera. It also includes an 8MP front-facing camera with optical image stabilization. There's an FM radio, calculator, calendar app and even an offline English dictionary app.

In terms of specs, the smartphone has decent mid-range options, with a 1.4GHz quad-core chip that's paired with 1.5GB RAM and 2,600mAh battery.

Other elements notable about the design is the absence of a fingerprint sensor at the back, suggesting an in-display version, and that it still features a headphone jack, suggesting Samsung has not gone full-in on copying Apple. Running Android 7.1.1 Nougat with TouchWiz UX on top, the smartphone is expected to receive the Android Oreo update soon.

Samsung now has zero intentions of letting anyone other than the Koreans play around with the dumb phone but I'm not sure that this mobile phone would have many takers as it is.

Target audience "smartphone" - local students who are trying to avoid a dispersion of attention because of the Internet.
