Rolls-Royce Cullinan shows off its taillights

Rolls-Royce Cullinan shows off its taillights”

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan - the new "High-Sided" Rolls-Royce - will debut on Thursday 10 May 2018 at noon in the United Kingdom, ahead of which Rolls is starting a bit of a mtease for their new SUV. The teaser image you see here reveals the LED tail light design as well as the bulging fender design of the SUV.

Rolls-Royce hasn't been exactly shy about the development of their first ever SUV - although they insist on calling it an HSV (high-sided vehicle) - and have chronicled every move they've made in public, effectively consigning spy photos to the bin marked "worthless". It's the first time we're getting a full glimpse of the actual design - prior to this, the units seen on spy photos have been partially masked, especially to hide the sleek middle section.

As for the SUV itself, the name Cullinan means to have the "best seat in the house", which warrants the creation of the Viewing Suite. It can be used to watch a sports event or even your children's football games!

Rolls-Royce isn't saying much else about its new mud plugger, not least what will actually power it, although the firm's familiar 6.6-litre V12 (which produces between 420kW and 465kW in other Rolls-Royce models) would be a logical choice. Today, the English automaker has unveiled a sneak peek of the SUV, giving the world the first look at the production version Cullinan.

Two more days, so stay tuned.
