On Tuesday, May 8, 2018, Dick Clark Productions announced that the pop divas will debut Aguilera's new single, "Fall in Line", with a live performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, E!

The news comes after Christina made her long-awaited comeback last week (4 May) with her first headline release in six years, the 2 Chainz and Ty Dolla $ign assisted Accelerate.

Lovely: Christina wrote: "May 20th @BBMAs".

Other performers announced for the Billboard Music Awards include Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson.

Janet Jackson will receive the Icon Award, and she will perform her greatest hits in what will be her first TV performance in nine years.

From 1990 to 2001, the "Rhythm Nation" hitmaker earned 18 Billboard Music Award nominations, having won 10 of them.

"She speaks up for what she believes in and sends a positive message, which are two things I find extremely important when given the platform we are lucky enough to have", Lovato added.

Janet will join the likes of Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Price, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, and Cher as previous recipients of the honour.
