Woman accused of stalking Arizona man at home, work”

What began as a connection on a dating site turned into an extended stalking and threatening situation for a Paradise Valley, Ariz. man, according to police.

When detectives asked Ades about the threatening text messages, she said "She did not want to hurt the victim because she loved him" and she says "she threatened him because she did not want him to leave".

Officers went to the man's house where they discovered the woman taking a bath.

Last month, Jacqueline Ades was arrested after she was found bathing in the victim's bathtub when he wasn't home.

In July, Ades was seen parked outside of the man's home, police said.

A large butcher knife was discovered on the passenger's seat of her auto, court paperwork said. She was taken into custody and charged with trespassing.

But the truly odd part of the story came to light when authorities revealed what was in the more than 65,000 text messages she'd sent to the man in the past year.

Less than three weeks later, the victim called authorities to report receiving multiple threatening text messages from her, court documents said.

An Arizona woman is behind bars after she allegedly started stalking a man she met online after just one date. The two went on one date, but Ades allegedly became infatuated and continued to pursue the man. She also said she threatened him because she thought he reported her behavior to police. "I'll kill you. I don't wanna be a murderer!"

"You do whatever you have to do to get here...but don't ever try to leave me".

On May 4, police were called to a business in Scottsdale after passersby reported Ades "acting irrationally and claiming to be the owner's wife", police said. When Paradise Valley officers heard of the incident they arrested Ades in Phoenix.

The Paradise Valley Police Department said Wednesday that 31-year-old Jacqueline Ades of Phoenix texted the victim 65,000 times, oftentimes threatening him.
