Unnao rape case: Victim demands death for accused BJP MLA”

The BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar trouble has increased as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has confirmed his rape charges imposed by the rape survivor.

On June 20, when the girl was out of the clutches of abductees, the family went to police to lodge an FIR, they named other accused but left out BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and Shashi Singh's name.

The victim said, "I demand the death penalty for Sengar for raping me and for the murder of my father".

Kuldeep Singh Sengar is also accused of conspiring to kill the victim's father, who died in police custody after being allegedly thrashed by Kuldeep Sing Sengar's brother and his aides. As the rape survivor claimed that BJP MLA raped her at his home in Uttar Pradesh's Makhi village on 4 June 2017.

As per reports, the victim was later abducted by three men on June 11 and was kept in an SUV for nearly eight days and was constantly gangraped. "From June 11 to 19, the girl was kept mostly in an SUV and repeatedly gang-raped by these three while on the move", the English daily quoted a CBI source as describing the sequence of events eastablished by the agency.

The statement of the victim will act as an evidence in the case it is recorded under oath and cannot be retracted and if it is, then perjury charge can be brought. Following the outrage an FIR was lodged against Sengar.

"The disturbing feature of the case is that the law and order machinery and the government officials were directly in league and under the influence of Kuldeep Singh", a bench of Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale and Justice Sunit Kumar had said.

Victim demands death penalty for Sengar: Speaking to news agency ANI, the victim on Friday demanded death penalty for Sengar.

The CBI probe revealed that the rape happened while Shashi Singh, Sengar's female accomplice, stood guard outside the room.

The victim's uncle said, "We demand protection for our family so that we can give our statement before the court fearlessly".
