Kristen Stewart ditches high heels to go barefoot at Cannes

Kristen Stewart ditches high heels to go barefoot at Cannes”

Stewart, a self-confessed fashion junkie, revealed that her thoughts are nothing against heels either.

After days of walking the red carpet in heels at the Cannes Film Festival, the Twilight star had enough of the no-flats policy at the prestigious festival and made her statement in the best possible way. The BBC has contacted the Cannes Film Festival for a comment.

The move could have also been a dig at the expectation for women to wear heels at the glitzy festival, which made headlines and spawned the term "heelgate" in 2015 after well-dressed women were denied entrance into a screening due to their flat shoe choice.

Stewart isn't the first A-lister to shun the dress code rules at Cannes. Telling reporters back in 2017 that found the rules outdated Stewart has been vocal about dressing the way she pleases. Does he have to wear heels?' It can work both ways.

We've all done the same, only ours was on a run down the high street having ditched our heels to get that 4am burger in MacDonald's.

"It's just like you simply can not ask me to do something that you are not asking him". "It's just like you simply can not ask me to do something that you are not asking him [to do]. That's my point of view".

OK so no not in her being a multi-million dollar actress, but in the fact that when her feet hurt, she just takes off her heels - even if she's right in the middle of the red carpet in Cannes.
