Isaacson tied for 2nd overall at NCAA Championship”

The second round will begin at 11 AM with a shotgun start.

The Yellow Jackets are playing in an NCAA regional for the 21st straight year and for the 28th time in the 30 years the NCAA has used a regional qualifying format for its championship.

TECH LINEUP - Unlike Monday's opening round, birdies were much harder to come by Tuesday for the Yellow Jackets, who started by posting three birdies on the opening hole, but only finished at 5-under-par.

Senior Marc Peterson of Esko is at even par through nine holes thanks to a trio of birdies on the front nine of the East Course.

The Cyclones were led on day two by senior Denzel Ieremia.

The Aggies (279-279=558, -18) own a one-stroke lead in the team standings over Clemson (-17) which posted the low team round of the day at 276. After making the turn at 2-over-par, Johnson recorded an eagle on the par-4, 470-yard second hole when he lifted a shot with his sand wedge from 117 yards out onto the green and into the cup off one bounce.

One day after shooting a ten under 274 to open regional play, the Yellow Jackets as a team shot a five under 279 to keep themselves in the hunt at the NCAA Regionals.

Strafaci is individually placed in ninth on the leader board with a five under par score, with Norton and Ogletree both tied with a group of others at three under which is good enough for fourteenth place. Sam Vincent has a pair of rounds at 69 and is tied for sixth. Top-seeded Oklahoma shot five-under, giving themselves a five-stroke cushion over Auburn, Arkansas, and North Florida at even par. The top five teams from the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships.
