As Al Horford went up to catch a lob from Marcus Smart late in the fourth quarter, Smith dangerously pushed him as he was in mid-air and the big man landed hard on his hip. The player he often guarded, Jaylen Brown, led the Celtics with 23 points. There were myriad miscommunications on defense that led to wide-open Boston 3s. The Cavs' veteran pushed Horford in the back mid-air, leaving him vulnerable to a serious injury as Horford hit the hardwood.

Naturally, Twitter reacted to the play with plenty of comments.

It was then that the 18,000 fans in attendance may have made history when they unleashed an R-rated chant at Smith.

Things didn't end there though. "You've got to stand up and that's what I tried to do".

"That's a dirty shot", Smart said.

You can safely expect Smart to be public enemy number one as the series arrives in Cleveland.

Even after the game, which the Celtics won 107-94, Smart remained less amused by the whole ordeal. LeBron James going off for 40-plus and a triple-double. It's unsafe to bet against LeBron in these sorts of situations, but simple math tells you the Celtics hold a strong advantage in the series. Smart was having none of it, getting in Smith's face after the foul and speaking candidly about it after the game. He was held scoreless in Game 2 after going 0-for-7 from the field. Horford came crashing down under the basket, while Smart immediately rushed into the paint to confront Smith.
