Will China's Xi join Trump and Kim at summit in Singapore?

Will China's Xi join Trump and Kim at summit in Singapore?”

Last week it became known that one of the most anticipated and breakthrough worldwide events - the meeting of the leaders of the United States and the DPRK - will take place on June 12 in Singapore.

"Does he feel a responsibility to act in the best interests of his own people, to protect his own country's borders?"

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gives field guidance to the Taedonggang Terrapin Farm according to this undated photo released by North Korea's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) in Pyongyang, North Korea, on May 19, 2015. Both the parties have always tried to destabilize each other and have struggled to get as many supporters as possible. The division occurred in the closing days when Soviet troops, fulfilling a pledge by Joseph Stalin at Yalta, entered the war against Japan exactly three months after V-E Day and two days after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

China has always played an active role addressing the issue of the Korean Peninsula and makes consistent efforts to push for its denuclearisation.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Sunday that Washington would agree to lift sanctions on North Korea if the country agrees to completely dismantle its nuclear weapons program, a move that would create economic prosperity that "will rival" that of South Korea. U.S. armies have assisted the South Korean armies in order to keep the opposition armies away from the boundaries of Southern country. They were joined by Kim Dong Chul, an American who had been held in North Korea against his will for over 2 ½ years. Since North Korea has now agreed to denuclearization, the worldwide community, including the United States, should seize the opportunity to facilitate this process. Having alienated his European allies over the Iran nuclear deal, world trade and climate change, Mr. Trump needs positive atmospherics in Singapore. Trump has praised the step taken by the North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un and has declared it a step towards the thick relations. Also, good meeting with Kim Jong Un. Therefore, from this point of view, the two sides still have some differences (in approach).

Seoul capitalised on that stunning diplomatic achievement to broker an agreement between Trump and Kim to conduct a US-North Korean summit, now scheduled to take place in Singapore on 12 June.

Fears over North Korea's relationship with the West have caused various indices - including the USA 500, FTSE 100 and Japan 225 - to fall on several occasions over the last nine months.

Kim's latest visit was to the northeastern port city of Dalian, as the two countries seek to mend frayed ties with a diplomatic thaw in the region gathering pace. Such a meeting was really needed to build the environment of confidence and relations.

The most unpredictable element of the entire affair is arguably the summit itself, as Trump has said that he "will walk out" of the meeting if it's "not fruitful", and it is not yet known what Kim expects in return for greater global cooperation.
