Iniesta to continue professional career either in Japan or China

Iniesta to continue professional career either in Japan or China”

Iniesta told Onda Cero radio that "if nothing unusual happens, this World Cup will be my last participation with the Spanish national team".

FC Barcelona midfielder and captain Andrés Iniesta said he will continue his professional football career either in Japan or in China.

"Next week, when everything is over, we'll decide".

"Next week I hope to give an answer and focus on the World Cup".

Iniesta hinted that he does have a preference between the two choices, although he didn't reveal which one. One of the options is more determined than the other.

Iniesta's comments appear to rule out a move to Australia's A-League which had been suggested as his preferred destination by Spain's Sport website.

The Spaniard, who is a wine producer, added that the economics of any new deal are "relatively important", as he is eager to take his wine label from his native Castilla-La-Mancha region to new markets.

Iniesta, 34, will bid farewell to Barcelona when he plays his final game for his boyhood club on Sunday against Real Sociedad.

Iniesta has made 43 appearances in all competitions this season, helping Barca win La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
