Redmond O’Neal Charged With Attempted Murder In Crime Spree”

O'Neal faces multiple charges including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count each of attempted murder, criminal threats and brandishing a knife and one count of battery.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, O'Neal allegedly committed a series of violent crimes in early May.

One of the men was stabbed in the face, and another was seriously injured.

O'Neal also is facing other charges for the May 8 incident, including felony assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a smoking device, possession of an injection/ingestion device and two counts of possessing a controlled substance, meth and heroin.

Police said they connected the earlier five crimes to the suspect while he was being held on the robbery charge.

O'Neal is now in jail stemming from the May 8 incident at the 7-Eleven.

Redmond O'Neal, 33, who was Fawcett's only child, and is a son of actor Ryan O'Neal, is also accused of robbing a 7-Eleven store in Southern California, police told USA Today. When police were called, they found drugs and drug paraphernalia on O'Neal as well, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

On the afternoon of May 4, Redmon allegedly stabbed a man on the Venice Beach Boardwalk.

O'Neal has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the May 8 robbery.

"It appears, though, based on what we know now, that it just started as an argument between unknown persons and quickly escalated with the violent acts", he said. Photos of O'Neal from past news reports and on social media show he has ginger-colored hair and that his torso is covered in tattoos, including one of a large, dark Superman "S" near the top of his breastbone.

In an interview with Radar Online from prison on May 24, O'Neal blamed his famous family for all of his troubles with drugs and the law.

In 2008, Redmond O'Neal (who was 23 at the time) and his father, Ryan O'Neal, appeared in court together as they both faced a felony count of methamphetamine possession.

Fawcett was 62 when she died of anal cancer on June 25, 2009, the same day Michael Jackson died. Redmond was her only child.

The suspect has a history of drug addiction, Fox News has reported.
