The stealthy gameplay from Shadow of the Tomb Raider was interesting, but lacked impact after the cinematic trailer that was shown yesterday.

Instead, all we received from Square Enix at E3 2018 was a short and succinct showcase that had already blown its biggest reveal way in advance: the Kingdom Hearts 3 release date. It's scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4 and Steam, and features a blend of live action cutscenes with brutal melee combat, all starring a deaf protagonist in a gritty urban setting. The extreme weather looks pretty cool, actually, and, given that a lot of the Just Cause series seems to be about just finding the limits of weird stuff you can do with the game's wonky physics, this seems like it'd be pretty clutch.

We're also really looking forward to playing the free prequel to Life Is Strange 2, called The Awesome Adventures Of Captain Spirit - which will be released on June 26.

While Square Enix's showcase was ultimately disappointing, it's all their own doing.

What was disappointing though was that there was no mention at all of Square Enix's Avengers game, which a year ago they'd implied would be revealed at E3. There will also be a crossover event with Brave Exvius.

Square Enix next showed a trailer for their upcoming title Babylon's Fall. It's not just for the sake of their fans, but for the sake of their public image. Microsoft's conference was also home to a trailer for the game, which was then shown in even greater detail during Square Enix's briefing.
