Kylian Mbappe breaks silence on injury scare ahead of World Cup”

Kylian Mbappe was injured in training ground on Tuesday handing France a massive scare ahead of World Cup tournament.

The 18-year-old came off worse in a challenge with defender Rami and stayed down for several minutes, receiving treatment from physios before trudging off the training pitch to have his injury assessed.

The 19-year-old was pictured laying on the floor holding his left ankle before then being helped up by staff.

Kylian Mbappe has eased fears he suffered a serious injury just two days before the start of the 2018 World Cup.

"It's just a hit so it doesn't matter but thanks for your messages. PS".

"Ice packs? No, it is just a knock", Mbappe said according to ESPN.

But the Paris-Saint Germain winger later tweeted to say the injury was only a knock, and gave no indication that he could miss France's opener against Australia on Saturday. "It will be treated, and it will go away".

France arrived in Russian Federation on June 10 and will begin their World Cup campaign against Group C rivals Australia in Kazan on Saturday night (AEST). "It's a good setup to get us good results", Griezmann said during a media interaction in Moscow on Tuesday.
