Latest Update Allows Google Home to Understand Three Commands at Once

Latest Update Allows Google Home to Understand Three Commands at Once”

Google Assistant's biggest selling point is just how smart it is, and on smart speakers that especially shows its value. Now, the company has officially confirmed that it is rolling out support for Google Home to hear that special prompt and then keep tabs on three separate commands. Google has not yet announced this feature officially, as the support page still says that it's limited to two commands only.

The "multiple queries" feature is now available in English for USA, UK, Canada and Australia, and enables Google Home users to perform up to three functions with a single utterance.

Any combination of up to three queries can be spoked to Google Home, as long as the word "and" is used between the queries.

To check if you're on the latest firmware version, use the Google Home app on your phone and check the device info for your Google Home device.

According to Android Police, queries can now be spoken more naturally. For example, you can not say, "Hey Google, turn on the lights in the living room and in the bedroom", since in the bedroom isn't a complete command. However, you'll probably use something more along the lines of "Ok Google, turn on the lights in the kitchen and turn off the lights in the bedroom". Previously you needed to combine two commands by "and".

Right now the feature works in English-speaking countries like the US, UK, Australia and Canada.
