Robert De Niro attacks Trump at Tony Awards

Robert De Niro attacks Trump at Tony Awards”

The US actor isn't done criticizing US President Donald Trump yet.

Greg Gutfeld reacted to several recent profane criticisms of President Trump by actor Robert De Niro.

'I just want to make a note of apology for the idiotic behavior of my president, ' De Niro said as the audience cheered.

De Niro, speaking Monday in downtown Toronto where he's launching a major development alongside celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa, called Trump's behaviour "a disgrace".

Trump and his top economic aides launched scathing attacks on Trudeau over the weekend amid their ongoing fight on trade.

"I mean, this type of language is accepted in Trump's America", Seawright claimed.

His economic adviser then went on CNN to say that Trudeau had "stabbed Trump in the back" with his comments on tariffs.

Trump's spate of Twitter tirades has seen a number of political leaders rally around Trudeau, including Conservative leader Andrew Scheer and incoming Ontario premier Doug Ford.

"I can't believe De Niro did that", Kushner said.

De Niro's negative opinions about Trump are nothing new. In addition to appearing many times as Special Counsel Robert Mueller on "Saturday Night Live", he publicly called Trump and "idiot" who "lacks any sense of humanity or compassion" in March.

A month later during the opening night of the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival, De Niro referred to Trump as the "lowlife-in-chief", HuffPost reported.

"Bruce, you can rock the house like nobody else", De Niro continued.

Understandably, CBS, the network which broadcast the awards, bleeped the swearing leading some viewers to take to social media to question what he'd said and why it got a standing ovation.
