Sony E3 2018: Death Stranding Gameplay Reveal

Sony E3 2018: Death Stranding Gameplay Reveal”

Finally, we know what Death Stranding will play like - or at least some of it. Sony's E3 2018 presentation revealed the first gameplay video for Kojima Productions' enigmatic project, and it did not disappoint in terms of weirdness.

Hideo Kojima's, the creator of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, has devoted all of his attention to the PS4-exclusive Death Stranding.

In the latest trailer, we got our first look at what appears to be gameplay footage featuring.a lot of walking around, carrying things, dragging things, hiding from things and toward the end, dying. As for the combat, while we can see a weapon in the trailer, and it can be used to kill enemies, the game will offer many alternative ways to tackle a situation so you can play it without having to use any combat.

The trailer opens with a fetus giggling and rolling around, and only gets weirder from there. Norman Reedus' character Sam is a delivery man, of some sort, trekking across achingly pretty environments with varying levels of unwieldy boxes on his back and drones following him.

Invisible monsters approach, and Sam and Seydoux's characters hold their breath to avoid detection, hinting that stealth is a key factor of "Death Stranding". We also saw an unidentified character carrying packages through a landscape.

The scenes jump from one situation and location to the next which make it hard to put each scene into context.

Death Stranding has had some awesome cinematic trailers so far, which highlight the game's all-star cast. Even so, this is a trailer you should definitely watch, because it really defies explanation.
