Uber driver who booted 2 kissing women has license suspended

Uber driver who booted 2 kissing women has license suspended”

New York City has suspended the license of an Uber driver who booted two women after they kissed in his vehicle. "You don't do that".

"Kissing is not illegal", one of the women replies. "I did what I believe is my freedom", he said. In phone video taken by one of the women, the driver says kissing in an Uber is illegal.

Elbotari also spoke to the News, claiming that the couple was simply acting obnoxious, with one of them forcing the other to smell her armpit, playing music loudly on their phones, putting feet on the seat.

A video one of the women took of the incident shows the driver claiming that the kiss was "illegal" and telling them to get out of his auto.

A spokesman for New York City's Taxi and Limousine Commission says el Boutari has been licensed since 2014, and that his license has been suspended after this incident, pending the outcome of the TLC's investigation.

"It's my own vehicle".

'My girlfriend started laughing.

When he forced them to step out of the vehicle, the couple started recording.

Iovine told the MailOnline: "Obviously, he's homophobic". CNN reached out to the couple about el Boutari's claims.

The women then told the driver they were filming him and asked why they were "not allowed to kiss in an Uber". However, the agency told the Daily News that it has not received complaints about the driver in the past and that it has launched its own investigation. "They reportedly have been refunded the cost of the $22 ride".

"Uber does not tolerate any form of discrimination, and we have been in touch with the rider regarding her experience", Hendrick said. "He yelled at us for being disrespectful and inappropriate because we pecked on the lips".

"I think they don't belong driving period", Khosrowshahi told The Post in a wide-ranging interview Monday, referring to the Saturday incident which was partially caught on video.

"This is an open society and Uber is a platform that is available to anybody regardless of your background, your orientation, and that is sacred to us".

Meanwhile, Iovine and Pichl say the incident has changed their perspective on being in a same-sex couple in New York City.

"It's illegal", he is heard saying after being asked why he's kicking them out.

"We kind of keep to ourselves". "We've never been targeted with such prejudicial behavior" Iovine said.

"He started yelling at us that we were disrespectful and inappropriate and that he wants us out of his auto", said Pichl.
