George Lucas had a awful idea for Star Wars sequel trilogy

George Lucas had a awful idea for Star Wars sequel trilogy”

Noting that not all fans of the films are at fault, he added: "To the majority of Star Wars fans thank you for supporting and putting yourselves in our shoes". Speaking with James Cameron as part of a companion book for the AMC series James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction, George Lucas offered up some details on where he meant to take the Star Wars saga next.

In the book companion for James Cameron's Story of Science Fiction - released in conjunction with the director's mini-docuseries on AMC - Lucas revealed his plans for Star Wars sequels that never came to be.

"If I'd held onto the company I could have done it, and then it would have been done".

Most recently, the idea would make an appearance in 2016s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story where two characters from that film were part of the “Guardians of the Whills”, protectors of the Temple of Kyber and its pilgrims on the planet Jeddha.

"[The next three Star Wars films] were going to get into the microbiotic world".

He continued: "But there's this world of creatures that operate differently than we do". Daisy Ridley, who played Jedi-in-training Rey, has been MIA since 2016 after fans took her comment about gun control the wrong way. They feed off the Force. LucasFilm has already brought back The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson to develop a brand new trilogy focusing on new characters that aren't connected to the Skywalker saga at all, but if that isn't successful, it will be interesting to see if LucasFilm ever circles back to its original creator.

Sounds like he wanted to do an Osmosis Jones-esque adventure in the microscopic universe contained within the larger Star Wars universe. And the conduit is the midi-chlorians. If you hated the midi-chlorians, you probably wouldn't have been a fan of this new trilogy, had Lucasfilm not been bought out by Disney. I've got to say that it's probably a good thing the films didn't get made then because based on fan hatred for The Phantom Menace's midichlorians, which tried to provide a scientific explanation for The Force, it appears people don't want to know the inner working of the Force and just want to see the Jedi do insane things.

Taking advantage of the uptake in traffic on his page, Boyega took the opportunity to let his fans know he's now filming another instalment, which is sure to excite the lot of you.
