Guy Pearce Accuses Kevin Spacey of Being "Handsy"

Guy Pearce Accuses Kevin Spacey of Being

Australian actor Guy Pearce says the disgraced actor was "handsy" during their time together on LA Confidential.

Spacey was first accused of sexual misconduct in October 2017 by Anthony Rapp, who alleges the Oscar-winning actor forced himself on Rapp when he was 14 and Spacey was 26.

Speaking on Channel 7's Interview last night, Pearce was prompted by host Andrew Denton to speak on his experiences working with Spacey. Yeah. Tough one to talk about at the moment. Slightly hard time with Kevin, yeah", before adding how Spacey is "a handsy guy. Incredible actor. Mmm. Slightly hard time with Kevin, yeah. Thankfully, Guy, at the time, was 29-years-old and knew his own personal boundaries and how to go about enforcing them.

Spacey was subsequently fired from Netflix drama House Of Cards and removed from the film All The Money In The World after the allegations against him came to light. Most of the alleged incidents happened before 2009.

Spacey said in a statement at the time: "I have a lot of respect and admiration for Anthony Rapp as an actor". I'm beyond horrified to hear his story'. "But if I did behave as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years".

In the months since the first allegation against Spacey was made, the actor has remained entirely out of the spotlight.

The 58-year-old will be making a big-screen comeback in the Billionaire Boys Club which will be released this August. Since then, Spacey's career has crumbled in wake of being accused of sexual misconduct by multiple men. One of his lawyers Bryan Freedman later stated that Spacey "absolutely denies" all subsequent accusations, including 20 allegations of inappropriate behaviour during his 11-year post as artistic director at The Old Vic in London.
