Walmart's impeach Trump clothing draws social media outrage

Walmart's impeach Trump clothing draws social media outrage”

As of early Tuesday morning, the "Impeach 45" clothing was still available on Walmart's website.

Walmart Inc.'s (WMT.N) website is selling t-shirts from third-party sellers with "IMPEACH 45" emblazoned across the front in big capital letters - a call to bring down the 45th US president, Donald Trump.

These articles of clothing have ignited a rallying cry from the President's legion of supporters, who find the sloganeering to be disrespectful.

Fox News credits Ryan Fournier, head of Students for Trump, as the first to call for a Walmart boycott on social media.

Walmart's third-party marketplace, which has millions of items available from various independent sellers, also has "Make America Great Again" merchandise - showing how diverse the site can be at any given time.

The line of apparel also sells on Amazon.com and through Old Glory's own website.

The store came under fire in November after a shirt design that read "Rope".

A Walmart spokeswoman did not return a request for comment. "Tree. Journalist. SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED" was listed on its website through an outside company.

The shirt wasn't made by Walmart.

Some Twitter users have been saying they will no longer shop at Walmart until the products are removed.

Big mad conservative consumers started a #BoycottWalmart hashtag on Twitter, claiming that the store is in support of impeaching President Donald Trump, whose racist immigration policies has ignited nationwide protests and sent migrant babies to live in jail-like cells without their mommas.
