SpaceX successfully launches Falcon 9 satellite communication”

Falcon 9 rocket was to put into orbit the satellite for the government of Bangladesh.

It is now SpaceX's go-to rocket, with another rapid-fire launch on tap Wednesday with a different Falcon 9 to boost 10 Iridium NEXT satellite telephone relay stations into orbit from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. Basically, this means the booster will find its way home to land at a selected site a few miles from where it launched. Then 18 minutes later its engine re-ignited for about 50 seconds to raise the high point of its orbit, achieving a geostationary transfer orbit.

The rocket should put into orbit the canadian communication satellite Telstar 19 Vantage is created to transmit a broadband signal in North and South America. After starting the first stage of the rocket Falcon 9 made a successful landing on a barge in the Atlantic ocean.

After a mission elapsed time of about 33 minutes, Telstar 19 VANTAGE was deployed from the rocket. The Block 5 can be used hundreds of times if recovered successfully. It will have distinct zones of coverage across the Americas and Atlantic, combining broad regional beams and high throughput spot beams in Ku-band with additional HTS spot beams in Ka-band. Hughes will refer to this capacity as "Hughes 63 West". The satellite has a 15-year design life. Hughes secured all of the satellite's Ka-band capacity over Latin America, rebranding it as "Hughes 63 West", and customers including Bell Canada are leasing the entire Canadian Ka-band payload.

The satellite that the Falcon 9 has carried this time, the Telstar 19 Vantage satellite, has been developed by California-based SSL. But SpaceX offered a real game changer to the space exploration industry with the debut of the Block 5 launcher, which is both recoverable and reusable.

The company said it has strong interest from other satellite service providers across the Americas and Atlantic.
