Fortnite's Guided Missile & Jetpack Return In v5.10

Fortnite's Guided Missile & Jetpack Return In v5.10”

And that's pretty much everything for the Battle Royale update. The infamous guided missile makes a return to Battle Royale mode, and a new limited-time game mode is now live for fans to check out: Fly Explosives. The jetpack is also making its way into the playground, however only for the duration of the fly explosives limited time mode.

- Fly Explosives Jetpacks have increased fuel regen rate & decreased burn rate compared to Default Jetpacks, to keep pilots in the sky a bit longer. The wait times between storms have been reduced considering players need less time to find adequate loot.

The biggest change for Content Update 5.1 is undoubtedly the return of the Guided Missile, which was a controversial addition when it was first introduced at the end of March in update 3.4. Reload speed with the weapon has been decreased from 2.4 seconds to 2.2 seconds. In particular, damage done to structures has been reduced from 1100 down to 400.

The weapon's strength previously caused controversy on the hit game, mainly because you never stood a chance of surviving if you came into contact with someone in possession of one.

Take a look below for the full Fortnite 5.10 content update patch notes.

Guided Missile has been enabled. Rocket ammunition is interestingly capped out at 120 rockets.

This mode combines the explosive fun of the High Explosives LTM and the vaulted Limited Time Item Jetpack.

The weapon is available in both Epic and Legendary variants. You stats (ie. K/D ratio and wins) will also be tracked in Fly Explosives mode, so git gud. Player damage from guided missiles is down from 105/110 to 74/77.

Aside from that, a bug that revolved around player nameplates showing while on the opposite team has been fixed.

Explosions now damage structures with no regard for line of sight.

PC players are able to control the Fortnite guided missile with the standard default movement inputs, no longer having to rely on the mouse.

An accurate, high-powered, scoped sniper rifle with a single round per magazine that kicks like a mule.
