Zinedine Zidane Expects Manchester United Offer

Zinedine Zidane Expects Manchester United Offer”

Often hesitant to face journalists and their intrusive questions, Premier League managers have a tendency to turn up late for press conferences instead of on time.

In a unusual press conference today at Carrington, Mourinho answered just a few questions and stayed for a short amount of time talking to journalists; presumably frustrated by speculation about his future after the defeat to Brighton on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho insisted his relationship with Ed Woodward remains strong despite a hard start to the season for Manchester United.

Mourinho's personal relationship with United midfield Paul Pogba has also again come into question this season, with the pair going head-to-head in a string of cryptic messages via the media.

Manchester United defenders Diogo Dalot and Marcos Rojo have both hinted that they are ready to return from their respective injuries.

Asked whether the relationship with Woodward is fine, the 55-year-old replied: "Of course".

If the Red Devils do decide to appoint the Frenchman as Mourinho's successor in the foreseeable future, this could help convince the likes of Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial to stay at the club. "If you want an explanation for Paul's words you must get him and ask him", Mourinho replied.

The United boss accepted there had been a little of criticism.

"I feel we played well against Leicester and we won".

"I would like to play well and win [against Tottenham]".

Mourinho was asked about those comments but said it was Pogba's place to explain what he meant.

I think difficult, difficult is after the match you lose, is always difficult, especially for people that really care about the job, about being football pro, but after that you think about the next match. I would like to play well and win.

Zinedine Zidane is reportedly interested in succeeding Mourinho at Old Trafford.
