Kenya inks Brexit free trade deal with British PM”

The prime minister is on a three-country Africa visit with a large business delegation as Britain seeks to boost economic ties ahead of a bumpy exit from the European Union in March.

"UK is the largest foreign investor in Kenya and it is our ambition to be the G7's number one investor in Africa by 2022", Mrs May said. She should appreciate the fact that miraa supports the economies of Meru, Embu and many other counties.

Prime Minister Theresa May made the announcement at the Kenya-UK Business Forum held on Thursday at Strathmore University in Nairobi.

The publication further picked issue with how President Kenyatta began his address by telling May that he was glad she had honoured Kenya's invitation to see for herself how the country and the African continent has changed in the almost four decades since a UK Premier last visited.

May noted Kenyatta's call for a transition from the AU peacekeepers to stronger Somali security forces and said Britain wants the same, adding that the United Kingdom is leading efforts to ensure the AU mission receives the funding it needs.

In response to questions, Ms May endorsed South African President Cyril Ramaphosa's controversial land reform plans.

The UK will partner with the International Organisation for Migration to deliver support for up to 1,700 migrants and modern slavery victims returning to Nigeria from Libya.

Earlier today she talked about the close security and trading ties Britain has with Kenya as she appeared alongside the country's President Uhuru Kenyatta at a press conference.

Theresa May won " t stop dancing, despite what her critics say about her moves.

The Premier denied she was setting Britain on a track to be a "vassal state" that follows European Union rules without helping to set them.

In the furtherance of the fight against terrorism, Mrs May said Kenyan and British soldiers will now train jointly, with the UK PM expected to witness a joint training session in Laikipia after the briefing.

"Most of the world's poorest people are Africans".

The EU is now Britain's biggest trading partner.

"They understand fully well the U.K.'s predicament and they have a multitude of other trade partners, including China, India and Russian Federation, wanting to invest on a massive scale.

The Prime Minister also announced a deeper collaboration between London and Lagos - setting up the first UK-Africa FinTech partnership which will use the City's expertise to support African entrepreneurs, improve access to financial services for consumers and encourage new investment.
