Elon Musk Smoking Weed with Joe Rogan

Elon Musk Smoking Weed with Joe Rogan”

Musk turned heads with a more than two-hour podcast interview with comedian Joe Rogan in which he drank whisky and appeared to smoke a marijuana-and-tobacco cigarette proffered by the comedian as he mused about artificial intelligence and colonising space. The activist short seller has alleged in the lawsuit that Musk manipulated the price of Tesla shares by issuing materially false and misleading information.

The interview lasted over two hours and saw the billionaire CEO sip whiskey and talk about everything from AI overlords to emotional lamentations of fossil fuels.

"Yeah, I think I tried one once", he replied, laughing.

"You probably can't do this because of stockholders, right?", Rogan asked, to which Musk nonchalantly shrugged. They say his questionable public persona culminated in his dubious claim on Twitter last month that he had "funding secured" to take Tesla private. "I don't find that it is very good for productivity".

Clips of the unexpected smoke break have quickly gone viral, catching the attention of Musk's friends and business partners.

Along with his electric vehicle company, Musk heads up space exploration firm Space X, tunnel construction firm The Boring Company, and Neuralink, which works on augmenting human brains with artificial intelligence.

Musk's plans to take Tesla private have since been thwarted, and it appears that his anti-cannabis chiding was easily susceptible to Rogan's light peer pressure.

Tesla shares dropped sharply Friday after the electric-car company disclosed that its chief of accounting was leaving the company only weeks after coming aboard.

Tesla's stock is down more than six percent to $262, the lowest level since April.

"He's an old, single white guy from England who's been traveling to or living in Thailand for 30 to 40 years, mostly Pattaya Beach, until moving to Chiang Rai for a child bride who was about 12 years old at the time", Musk wrote to the news organization.

"Since I joined Tesla on August 6th, the level of public attention placed on the company, as well as the pace within the company, have exceeded my expectations".

It's not clear whether the reshuffling of executives goes quite that far, but it does address a vacuum that had been developing at the top of the company as several top executives have recently left.

Shortly after Morton's resignation became public, Gaby Toledano, Tesla's Chief People Officer said she would not be returning after taking a 15-month leave of absence on August 15. Musk's critics have said that his bitter feuds with journalists, employees, rivals and others have interfered with Tesla's mission to transform the auto industry.

Some analysts and investors have called on the board to replace Musk as CEO but keep him as chief product officer, or hiring a chief operating officer to handle daily operations.
