Olivia Newton-John: Grease legend, 69, diagnosed with cancer for third time”

Olivia Newton-John has revealed she is receiving treatment for her third bout of cancer as well as sharing details around a secret second fight that took place six years ago.

Olivia Newton-John is battling cancer for the third time.

On a drive to visit her sister Rona just before she died of brain cancer, Olivia was in a vehicle accident.

Speaking to the Australian show "Sunday Night", the "Grease" star said the tumor is at the base of her spine.

In her memoir, the "Summer Nights" singer says that she is relying on a mix of conventional and natural therapies to treat cancer and is now receiving photon radiation therapy.

Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992.

Following the crash, the singer-songwriter continued to experience pain from a lump in her right shoulder where her seatbelt hit her.

The 69-year-old battled a second bout of cancer back in 2013 - a fight which she had chose to keep secret.

"I thought "I don't really need to share this, it's my life and something I wanted to keep to myself", she told reporter Alex Cullen.

When asked if she was anxious about the latest cancer diagnosis, Newton-John said she remains optimistic and is determined to win the battle once again. "I'm very lucky that I live in a state where it's legal and that I have a husband that is a plant-medicine man". She added that she's treating the cancer with modern medicine and natural remedies, including homegrown marijuana from her Santa Barbara, Calif., ranch.

Newton-John, who will turn 70 in a few weeks, was catapulted to fame when she starred opposite actor John Travolta in the high school musical "Grease".

"I live in a handsome place, have a wonderful husband, all these animals I adore, I have an incredible career - I have nothing really to complain about".

"I'm still treating it, and I'm treating it naturally and doing really well, yeah", Olivia adds. "I have a wonderful husband, I have all the animals I adore, I have an incredible career".

Sir Cliff said he was confident his friend would pull through, saying: "You can't help but think the worst but most of the time I think: she's thrashed this one before, she's not going to lie down on this one - never".
