Packers QB Rodgers returns from leg injury

Packers QB Rodgers returns from leg injury”

Even playing on one good leg, Aaron Rodgers is a special player.

After coming back from a knee injury, quarterback Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to an improbable 24-23 victory over the Bears on Sunday night.

The Packers had never before overcome a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit in their 100-year history.

Rodgers went down awkwardly after being sacked by Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris.

After a seemingly horrendous knee injury which forced Rodgers to the medical tent for some immediate assistance, the Packers quarterback came back in the second half - and he put on quite a show. He completed his first two passes, both of which were quick hitters likely created to ensure the Bears' pass rush couldn't get to Rodgers.

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams stutter steps and dives in for a touchdown on a pass from QB Aaron Rodgers against the Bears at Lambeau Field. But it all culminates in the suddenly much-anticipated Bears-Packers get-together on "Sunday Night Football".

Despite breaking his collarbonein Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings, Rodgers will have his sights on winning a second Lombardi Trophy this season.

The Bears led 20-0 at one point and their defence dominated until the second half.

After Rodgers left the game in the first half, football fans were anxious he might be gone for the game, if not weeks.

The Chicago Bears led 17-0 at halftime in Lambeau Field after a thoroughly dominant first half performance against the Packers. Packers backup quarterback DeShone Kizer entered the game with 6:44 to play in the second quarter.

According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, it was the same knee Rodgers suffered a torn ACL with in high school at Pleasant Valley. They took their first drive right down the field and were up 20-0 early into the third quarter. Trubisky completed 23 passes, but amassed just 171 yards.

Trubisky has also scored on a 2-yard run.
