Twitter reacts to Aaron Rodgers' injury

Twitter reacts to Aaron Rodgers' injury”

After the game, Rodgers was asked about if he would play against their NFC North rivals.

Some were questioning why the Green Bay Packers made Rodgers the highest paid QB in National Football League history before the season, and on Sunday, he proved why they did.

My God, how could anybody hate Aaron Rodgers? "I just can't tell you how proud I am with him", coach Mike McCarthy said.

Ideally, this defense will have proved by then its disastrous second half in Green Bay had more to do with one of the best quarterbacks of all time, and less to do with their own shortcomings.

Against the archrival Bears. The future Hall of Famer has now won 14 of the last 15 games he's started and finished against them. With the Packers trailing the Chicago Bears by six points and on a third-and-10 situation late in Sunday Night Football's game at Lambeau Field, Rodgers chose to pull off another miracle, by finding wide receiver Randall Cobb for a huge 75-yard touchdown that tied the score at 23-23.

A gimpy Rodgers returned in the second half and finally figured out the Bears.

Cobb, Adams and Allison did all the heavy lifting.

Green Bay appeared to retake possession after forcing three straight incompletions, but a roughing-the-passer penalty on Clay Matthews on fourth-and-9 gave the Bears one last shot at an answer.

The Bears had a lot of opportunities, Matt Nagy reminded us in his postgame interview.

It was Rodgers' first regular-season home game since September 28 against the Bears. He sat out nine games during the 2017 season due to a broken collarbone.

Mack almost stole the show.

The Bears acquired Mack in a blockbuster deal with the Raiders on September 2 that included two first-round picks being sent back to Oakland.

The Packers had never before overcome a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit in their 100-year history. "But you want to win these games". That's the one thing on my mind.

Rodgers went down awkwardly after being sacked by Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris. The lineman landed on Rodgers. "We just have to go back and watch the tape now to see how we get a quicker start".

Cobb was the beneficiary of a heavier reliance on the short passing game while Rodgers nursed a left knee injury.

Rodgers had ACL surgery on his left knee while in college.

"His performance speaks for itself", McCarthy said. The result was Rodgers operating nearly exclusively a no-huddle two-minute offense with plenty of quick throws.

His right arm was just fine.

Off to the corner of a crushed locker room at Lambeau Field, star pass rusher Khalil Mack threw a Bears pullover on and stood to discuss a devastating loss.

The Packers plan to run more tests on their QB on Monday, though Rodgers seems to think his availability for next week's game against Minnesota is a foregone conclusion. Trubisky completed 4 of 4 passes for 54 yards on the drive. And then Randall ran about 80 yards for a touchdown.

Running back Jordan Howard used his patience and vision to hit the holes the Bears offensive line opened up.

Nagy and Vic Fangio deserve credit for calling a masterful first half that put the Packers all the way back against the wall.

While we have to wait another week to celebrate a win, if this is as bad as it gets, it is going to get pretty good.

Bears: Host the Seattle Seahawks next Monday.
