Danny Trevathan says Bears defense is 'just getting started'”

Seattle QB Russell Wilson was harried all night and was sacked six times and fumbled twice. "[He's an] average quarterback", Seahawks defensive end Frank Clark told Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly. But the defense forced Seattle to go three plays and a punt yet again - the fourth time in five possessions.

"Just having this opportunity to play it means so much more to me", said Kendricks, who was released by Cleveland on August 29 after the charges were filed.

The Bears got on the board first, marching 96 yards down the field after Michael Dickson's punt pinned them on their own 4-yard line.

The Seahawks got on the board at the end of the first half, as Sebastian Janikowski knocked in a 56-yard field goal with time expiring to make it 10-3. The fourth quarter was his poorest through his 12 games last season both in overall rating and in completion percentage, which was down to 54.3 along with his lowest yards per attempt for any quarter. Seattle drove 75 yards down the field, capped by Wilson's attractive 19-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Lockett that make it 10-17.

Somewhat worrisome before Monday was Trubisky's continued inability to deliver in fourth quarters. I think we were still able to do that. But, if what the Seahawks showed at Soldier Field was any indication of how they will match up against top-tier defenses, those chances aren't good. But Wilson's pass intended for Rashaad Penny near midfield was picked off by Prince Amukamara, who returned his first interception since 2015 for his first career touchdown with 6:37 remaining.

"It was definitely too little, too late", Lockett said after the game. "[Offensive] line moved the guys up front, and Trey just caught the ball and found the seam and that's exactly what it's built for, so we just got to keep building off that". It sucked to be able to watch. "Nothing special. I feel like he was okay".

"If he starts getting into a shell, then we'll all get into a shell". "We had that chemistry to where I was able to shift the guy inside, he gave me a ideal ball and I was able to catch it".

How ugly did it get? A big part of the reason the score was as close as it ended up was an outstanding game from Griffin, whose two interceptions and four tackles kept it close. The NFL have suspended him but, as he has appealed that suspension, he is available to play for a Seattle side struggling at linebacker due to injuries to Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright.

"The thing we're learning in this process is we are on a next-play mentality and I'm happy with how he handled himself from play one to the end of that fourth quarter", Nagy said, via The Athletic. "But we knew that this was important because it's the next game, and it's our first home game, we wanted to make a statement".

Clark's 0-2 Seahawks host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
