Trump says his past accusers influence thinking on Kavanaugh

Trump says his past accusers influence thinking on Kavanaugh”

A top abortion rights group didn't wait to hear Judge Brett Kavanaugh himself at Thursday's Senate hearing to come to a conclusion about his nomination.

Christine Blasey Ford's testimonyI thought Brett was going to accidently kill me.

There was also some confusion surrounding a polygraph test Ford had taken previously, which had determined she was being truthful in her statements. A democrat, she is the ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The Senator went on to blast Democrats for making "a bunch of speeches" during Ford's testimony for a "political objective".

Rachel Mitchell, who's doing the questioning for the Republicans, is speaking smoothly, but meticulously as she asks Blasey Ford about the minute details of her account. Ford explained how she was weighing whether to come forward about the incident.

Kavanaugh has adamantly denied assaulting her or anybody.

Blasey Ford testified that Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge, both "visibly drunk", pushed her into an upstairs room at the party and locked the door.

The Senate Judiciary Committee said Thursday night that it plans to hold a vote Friday morning on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court.

We've got more newsletters we think you'll find interesting. She said that Kavanaugh covered her mouth to mask her screams and that at times she anxious he'd accidentally kill her.

"Indelible in the hippocampus (the part of the brain that is the center of emotion and memory) is the laughter, the uproarious laughter between the two, and they are having fun at my expense".

She said she is "100 percent" sure it was him. 'I stated that Mr. Kavanaugh had assaulted me in the 1980s in Maryland.

Kantrowitz, who is now a history professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, writes on Twitter that he can recall Kavanaugh discussing his sexual exploits during their freshman year at Yale.

Over the past few days, other false and uncorroborated accusations have been aired.

After telling Ford that she seemed to have given a clear picture of the alleged assault, Mitchell shifted her focus to the last two months, since Ford first told her representative in the House about her claim.

If they prove to be unfounded, then as Amar says, Kavanaugh can join the Court without the slightest cloud.

Senators who don't trust or much like each other will be charged with settling a vicious debate - with President Donald Trump hardly a bystander, or a predictable force.

'Once the press started reporting on the existence of the letter I had sent to Senator Feinstein, I faced mounting pressure, ' said Ford.

Ford said she managed to escape after Judge jumped on top of Kavanaugh and the boys toppled off of her. "We'll wait to see if she gets that invitation and we'll go from there".
