Aaron Ramsey: Ian Wright backs Arsenal contract 'stance' on Wales misfielder”

Unai Emery believes Lucas Torreira's career at Arsenal is "just starting" after the youngster put in another promising display during his side's 5-1 win at Fulham on Sunday.

Ryan Giggs has hailed Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The Welshman is out of contract in the summer, and BBC Sport report that Arsenal have now pulled his contract offer, meaning he is currently set to walk away.

The 22-year-old midfielder was a £26.5m signing from Italian side Sampdoria during the summer after appearing in all of Uruguay's World Cup matches in Russian Federation.

The pair have clicked on and off the pitch, Aubameyang now having scored 16 goals in his first 23 appearances - a better start to life at Arsenal than Thierry Henry.

Whether a deal goes through or not remains to be seen, but Ramsey has now been hailed by his Wales manager and ex-Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs.

Towards the end of Wenger's reign at Arsenal, a sense emerged that things were being done not necessarily because they were the most effective way, but because, well, that's always how they had been done.

Since his move to the Emirates Stadium, Torreira has played 11 games in all competitions, providing two assists, with the defensive-minded player yet to score for his new club. "Aaron's a good character, he has a good personality and is a good professional".

"He can play anywhere, in any league, for any elite club". He's played at Arsenal for 10 years - and all these games for Wales.

However, their results since have prompted a rethink amongst the media and pundits as the group looks more united than it has in a long time to move to within two points of the top of the table.
