The company said members of its Prime loyalty programme bought three times the number of early access products they did previous year in the initial 12-hour period. Vivo V9 Pro 6GB RAM variant will be available for Rs 17,990, down from its Rs 19,990 launch price. The device is available with no-cost EMI options and assured buybacks. On Bonus offers today, Amazon India is offering 10 percent extra cashback on any product above Rs 6,000 when customers pay using Amazon Pay balance. Consumers can buy the phone alongside free one-year Screen Replacement worth Rs 6,000, as well as exchange benefits worth Rs 6,000.

During the Big Billion Days sale, Flipkart is offering 10 percent instant discount with HDFC Bank Credit Cards and EMI transactions.

"Around 75 percent of smartphones sold in the entire country was sold on Amazon.in today and acquired 3 times more new customers compared to past year", said Manish Tewary, Vice President, Category management, Amazon India. There will be offers on other smartphones like Mi Mix 2, Redmi Y2, Honor phones, and Samsung phones, among others.

OnePlus 6, the flagship smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker, is being discounted by Rs 5,000 during the sale.

About 20 million people are expected to shop on various e-commerce platforms during the festive sale, translating into sales of around United States dollars 3 billion for players like Amazon and Flipkart, according to a report by research firm RedSeer. The company is also offering free screen replacement worth Rs 7,000 with a guaranteed exchange price. The device is available at 17,990 (MRP Rs. 19,990).
