Injured Bosa leaves Ohio State to prep for pro career”

Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa has not played since he suffered a groin injury against TCU last month, and he has apparently played his last game with the Buckeyes. He planned to follow the same path as his older brother, Joey, who left Ohio State a year early and now plays for the Los Angeles Chargers.

All-American defensive end Nick Bosa will not return to the team.

"I was hopeful that Nick would be able to return to play again for us", Head Coach Urban Meyer said in a press release. The injury, which required surgery, potentially would keep him out for the season. I want to thank Nick for the remarkable efforts he gave for this program. The Dispatch added that Nick Bosa told Meyer and some of his staff of his decision on Sunday. He is expected to be a first-round draft pick. "He is a first-class young man who we have been honored to coach".

Nick's older brother, Joey, himself a former Buckeyes edge rusher, was the No. 3 overall pick in 2016 and signed a four-year rookie deal worth almost $26 million.

Oh, and quarterback Dwayne Haskins is on pace to break virtually every single-season passing record in the Ohio State record book.

In three games this season, Bosa had six tackles for loss, four sacks, a forced fumble that resulted in a touchdown, and two fumble recoveries, including one for a touchdown.
