Yasmani Grandal benched again; Dodgers rip boo birds

Yasmani Grandal benched again; Dodgers rip boo birds”

Jhoulys Chacin combined with four relievers on a five-hitter, Orlando Arcia hit a two-run homer and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0 on Monday to take a 2-1 lead in the NL Championship Series.

Grandal also didn't handle Dodgers starter Walker Buehler's wild pitch in the sixth innnig, while allowed Brewers infielder Travis Shaw to score from third base, making the score 2-0. In the ninth inning of an otherwise smooth game, he got himself into a jam by loading the bases with one out. Grandal is already going to sit today per Dave Roberts last night but it still remains to be seen if Bellinger and Kiké will start.

But not before Grandal's teammates had a word with L.A. fans who chanted "We want Austin!" Yasmani Grandal had a chance to even up the game at one but he struck out swinging for the fences. "I don't really hear the voices outside".

"It sucks that they got loud to show up Yasmani", outfielder Enrique Hernandez told reporters (via the Los Angeles Times).

In Game 1 of the NLCS, Grandal became the first catcher in postseason history to commit two errors and allow two passed balls, a feat pulled off within the first three innings. It was Grandal's 28th passed ball since the start of last season, which trails only the New York Yankees' Gary Sanchez for the major league lead.

The fact is, Grandal is struggling.

During a time of year when Quarterback controversies are bantered about, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a catcher controversy. "They want the best out of all of us, especially in the postseason". "Austin will catch", Roberts said. From the players to the coaches, front office, ownership and even the fans.

Again, what I said last night doesn't portray the way I truly feel about you guys! "Overall, it was a pretty bad game for everybody that calls themselves Dodgers".
