Burger King's Halloween Burger Really Induces More Nightmares

Burger King's Halloween Burger Really Induces More Nightmares”

Yet lo and behold, the chain is launching a special-edition Halloween-inspired menu item called the "Nightmare King," which has a vomit-green bun and is apparently "clinically proven" to terrify people as they sleep.

Burger King is releasing a green burger stuffed with chicken, beef and bacon just in time for Halloween.

The "spooky sandwich" has a quarter pounder of beef, a chicken filet, American cheese, bacon, mayonnaise and onion. The gimmick here is that Burger King claims this order will induce actual bad dreams.

The "Nightmare King" will cost you $6.39 and will be available until the first of November. "So, the BURGER KING® brand turned to science to validate this". For the study, 100 participants ate a Nightmare King before going to bed. If you were planning on eating a combination of three meats before bed, heck, you might as well do it in this convenient burger form, right?

One participant said he saw an alien come up from the water and try to attack a boat he was on his dream.

That's all well and good, but isn't there also a distinct difference between having nightmares because something scared you versus having nightmares because your dinner was an assault on your vital organs?!

"The burger then transformed into the figure of a snake", she said.

A 2015 study published in the Frontiers of Psychology found that people who prefer fast food actually reported fewer dreams and nightmares than those who preferred organic foods.

In a 2015 Psychology Today article, Michelle Carr with Dream Factory attempted to determine whether certain foods can cause bad dreams. Control groups are an "essential part of the scientific method", Matheus Melo Pithon wrote in Evidence-based Orthodontics.
