Rooney speaks out as Manchester United signs a new deal

Rooney speaks out as Manchester United signs a new deal”

"Obviously they are not playing Champions League".

José Mourinho has said he will not gloat if Manchester United beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday because he has too much respect for his former club.

José Mourinho has said for the first time that external criticism is taking its toll on him and his Manchester United players.

Mourinho managed Hazard at Chelsea during the Portuguese's second spell at the club, with the playmaker instrumental in the Blues' 2014-15 Premier League title triumph.

"I want to do well for my team, my players, my support".

The all-time top scorer for Manchester United also played down the widely believed defensive tactics of current manager Jose Mourinho.

"Chelsea is led by intelligent and experienced people in football and they would never sell Eden to Man United so there's no point to comment".

"I'm fascinated to see how Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have dealt with the global break".

"That puts them just on the Premier League and, in the Premier League, the results speak for themselves".

"History says that when Eden Hazard is the best player of the Premier League, Chelsea is the champion". Chelsea now sits second in the standings with 20 points after eight games, while Manchester United languishes in eighth place with 13 points from eight games. The Red Devils (4-1-3) were victorious in their previous league match by defeating Newcastle 3-2 thanks to goals from Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez.

Mourinho said: "Some of the players looked depressed in the first half with the result and with the pre match, because the pre match was a hard pre match for them". "The key is for the players to be able to do it".
