In posthumous message, Stephen Hawking warns "what will cripple the Earth"

In posthumous message, Stephen Hawking warns

No one created the universe and no one directs our fate, celebrated physicist and a known atheist Stephen Hawking writes in his final book, which also covers important existential questions such as creation of the universe, alien intelligence, space colonisation and artificial intelligence.

"There is no God".

While that answer is undoubtedly unsettling for people of faith, they may take some comfort knowing that Hawking doesn't think we're entirely alone in the universe. Hawking wrote that the power to change DNA could create a king of superhuman that may dominate or even wipe out the genetic have-nots of a future civilisation. They're just not "God" in the Judeo-Christian-Muslim sense of the word.

His daughter Lucy says communication was so important to Hawking in his lifetime and we see this book as part of his legacy, bringing together his thoughts, humour, theories and writing into one lovely edition.

His children and some of his colleagues at Cambridge University completed the book using material found in Hawking's personal archives.

Hawking was regularly asked a particular set of questions and this book is an attempt to compile the most authentic, clearest, and definitive answers that he ever gave.

For an eternity, Hawking was asked the same things and thus he started to work on "Brief Answers to the Big Questions" previous year, but unfortunately, he was unable to finish it before his death in March at the age of 76. Well, I suppose it's possible that I've upset someone up there, but I prefer to think that everything can be explained another way, by the laws of nature, he wrote in the chapter titled Is There a God? Should humanity find a way to avoid the consequences of such an event, the demise of Earth's species "will be on our conscience as a race", Hawking wrote.

"I think that reading through the book again, it's nearly like his voice has been leaping off the page as I've been reading through the chapters, and it's been very nice to connect with him again in that way", Timothy Hawking added. "Travel back in time can't be ruled out according to our present understanding", he said.

"Reverse the flow of time can not be ruled out, according to our modern understanding, he says, and adds: - In the next hundred years people will be able to travel anywhere in the Solar system".

Providing his thoughts on what lies beyond the Earth's atmosphere, Hawking argues that there is more out there than what we know.

Hawking presented black holes in a new light in his final academic paper.

Further explaining in his book, Hawking mentions that other than leaving Earth, humans have no other option to avoid being "annihilated".

What other questions do you wish Stephen Hawking answered in his last book?
