Meghan Markle pulls out of royal tour engagement at the last minute

Meghan Markle pulls out of royal tour engagement at the last minute”

They were presented to him by disabled sports presenter Dylan Alcott and two members of the Australian Invictus team at Admiralty House.

It's become increasingly evident that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry don't like doing things slowly.

Kensington Palace says the couple has chose to slightly reduce Meghan's schedule "for the next couple of days" ahead of the final week-and-a-half of the tour.

But in the afternoon, Meghan did make it to an Invictus reception hosted by Prime Minister Scott Morrison at the city's central parkland, The Domain.

The Invictus Games, Harry's brainchild and the focus of this tour, were founded by the prince in 2014.

Harry and Morrison smiled as the black, grey and yellow flag of the Invictus Games was hoisted on the Sydney landmark on the eve of the worldwide paralympic event, founded by Harry for military personnel wounded in action, which runs until Oct 27.

The prince spotted a familiar face in the crowd and asked powerlifter Tyronne Gawthorne, 36, if he had a new tattoo since they met at last year's Invictus Games in Toronto.

Yesterday, the couple were at the Opening Ceremony, in an open air auditorium in front of Sydney's famous Opera House.

Interested in Royal Family?

Markle appeared alongside her husband at the Invictus Games, which have special meaning to the couple.

Mrs Connell, who is 23 weeks pregnant, added: "Meghan told me that pregnancy was like having jet lag".

Another Royal source told DailyMailTV: "Samantha is kidding herself if she thinks there is any possibility of getting together with Meghan or anyone from the Royal family for that matter".

Despite starting his chat with the Invictus patron with a laugh, Yeomans said there was a serious moment when he and his mates tried to convey to the prince their gratitude for what he had started. "He actually said today reaching out for help is not a weakness, it's a strength, so that's going to change people's lives around the world".

A thus-far joyous debut royal tour by the couple, buoyed by news that they are expecting their first baby, turned solemn as the Duke of Sussex opened a long-awaited extension to the Anzac Memorial in downtown Sydney's Hyde Park on Saturday morning.
