Google's homepage gets a new look as Discover rolls out on mobile”

Now rolling out to Google's home page for mobile devices, the Discover feed delivers a lineup of news stories underneath the familiar search field. Now, it's rolling out to mobile devices in the U.S. on both Android and iOS.

In brief: In late September, Google said it was adding a number of new features to its core Search product, including a rebranded version of the Google Feed called Discover. The biggest change will be on the homepage and mobile devices which use it.

Of course, users can customise their Discover tab by following topics such as sports, entertainments, hobbies and so on, and they can also remove topics that they find irrelevant by clicking on the "Not interested in..." option. This Google Chrome Homepage update is just for the United States.so far, but this update is for both the Android users as well as iOS users. Info cards have been a backbone of Google's mobile experience for some time, and that isn't probably going to change in mobile browsers. To customize the feed, all you have to do is open the menu on the top-right corner of a particular card and dismiss it to indicate your disinterest in the topic.

To that end, the company last week launched Google Lens in Google Images on mobile. The idea is to proactively show you a preview of the content that you might fancy. Could we eventually see paid or promoted cards in the Discover feed? You won't have to deal with cards showing up every time simply because you found a subject interesting once. The cards have a title, a cover photo, a summary, and the website name to provide you a snapshot of the article.

The feed also marks more of a philosophical shift for Google. It's also live on Google.com.

Google has about 94% of the mobile search engine market share worldwide and a 92% share on all platforms, StatCounter estimates, and faces few threats from other companies like Yahoo, Microsoft and Baidu, which is the leading search service in China's restricted marketplace.
