Donald Trump's White House Revokes Jim Acosta's CNN Press Credentials”

The White House is suspending the credentials of a CNN journalist hours after a testy exchange with US President Donald Trump.

"In an explanation, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders lied", the network said.

Wednesday at a press conference about the 2018 midterm elections, President Donald Trump blew up at CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta.

Then more members of the media hurled loud questions at him about whether it's his job to change the tone.

A few moments later, the CNN journalist uploaded a video from his phone of a Secret Service agent asking him to hand over his press pass. Video footage and photographs showed the intern grazing Acosta's arm in trying to pry the microphone away, and briefly making contact with the hand holding the microphone. "The way you treat Sarah Huckabee is frightful", he said, referring to his press secretary.

At that point, a White House intern tried to physically take the microphone from Acosta, who wrestled them for it. 'Excuse me ma'am, ' he said to her.

As for Acosta, he was given no prior warning that his press pass was being revoked other than Sanders's tweet. You are a rude bad person. Acosta held on to the microphone and kept trying to question Trump.

However, Mr Acosta refused to give it up as he attempted to ask the president a further question. They way you treat Sarah Huckabee is disgusting and the way you treat other people are frightful. You shouldn't be working for CNN, ' the president said to Acosta.

Trump's actions during the tense press conference did not sit well with Twitter or Hollywood, who had some thoughts about the president's harsh words. "You should not be working for CNN".

"I'm not a big fan of yours, either", Trump replied. "Secret Service just informed me I can not enter the WH grounds for my 8pm hit", the veteran news reporter wrote.

"A free press is vital to democracy, and we stand behind Jim Acosta and his fellow journalists everywhere". It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter's colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question. He could have just passed over the mic, knowing that anything he asked at the conference wasn't going to get Trump to offer a mea culpa over his continued admonishments. When he went to the White House for "one last live shot", he said a security officer prevented him from passing through an entrance that he has used for the past five years.

CNN released a statement after the conference saying the President's attacks on the press have "gone too far".
