Xiaomi unveils Mi AirDots Youth Edition, $30 truly wireless earbuds”

Introduced at an even in the company's home country of China, the earbuds are similar in design and functionality to Apple's AirPods.

Apple's AirPods wireless earphones are popular with lots of Apple fans, but the problem is that they are quite expensive. First spotted by Engadget the AirDots are apparently exclusive to China at the moment.

Despite costing less than one fifth of the price of Apple's AirPods, the AirDots appear to be well specced. However, that's the beauty of business.

The listing for the new pair of Apple AirPods was discovered in the Bluetooth Special Interest Group's regulatory database early this month.

What's more, Xiaomi's product is targeted towards Android, which means that it can potentially sell a lot more of its AirDots, as compared to the AirPods. They also include a white charging case for the AirDots to sit in and recharge.

A bibliophile and a business enthusiast.

Audio is played over power efficient Bluetooth 5.0. Unfortunately, no news yet of worldwide availability but Xiaomi does have some events scheduled this week so that may still happen.

Xiaomi at its launch event has promoted the new AirDots Youth Edition as being immune to frequent disconnections.

Xiaomi has launched its new truly wireless earphones with Bluetooth v5.0, alongside two new Mi Notebooks and a 65-inch Mi TV 4. They support Bluetooth 5.0 as well.

So, with the help of interface, you can control music playback, answer calls, activate a voice assistant and the like without touching the headphone. Apple also revealed a year ago that it will release a wireless charging case for the AirPods, but the tech giant still hasn't given any details about its launch.

The Xiaomi Mi AirDots Youth Edition are now up for pre-orders in China at a price of CNY 199 (roughly Rs. 2,100) while they will be sold via Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, Tmall, Jingdong, and Suning, starting from November 11. Moreover, if the earbuds are powered on, keeping them inside the case powers them off automatically. However, their sale will begin starting November 11 through Xiaomi Mall, Xiaomi Youpin, Tmall, Jingdong, and Suning.
