Microsoft Surface Go gets LTE Advanced option

Microsoft Surface Go gets LTE Advanced option”

Apart from "LTE Advanced" speeds, this bad boy will apparently offer 8GB RAM, 128 gigs of solid-state storage, and sadly, the same mediocre Intel 4415Y Pentium Gold processor as all other models. Redmond today announced that it's launching the LTE version of the Surface Go, allowing users to connect to the internet without needing a WiFi connection. The smaller (10-inch), lighter (520g), and cheaper Surface Go was originally launched back in July priced from $399.

Here in the United Kingdom, the Surface Go with LTE is also pre-orderable right away but folk will have to wait until 22 November before shipping commences. The devices are reportedly available for pre-order now, with an expected release date of November 20. Pricing in the United Kingdom is £619 inc Value-Added Tax. There's also a USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSDXC card reader, and the Surface Type Cover port for the optional keyboard cover.

The same model will be priced at $729 for businesses, with Windows 10 Pro rather than Windows 10 Home in S Mode.

The 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrid device has a weaker spec sheet than its more expensive cousin, but it's also more portable and versatile - or so Microsoft would like you to think.

If you want to snag one of Microsoft's new LTE-packed Surface Gos, you'll need to use AT&T, Sprint, or Verizon - T-Mobile customers are out of luck for now.
