Couple Dropped Engagement Ring At Times Square. NYPD To The Rescue

Couple Dropped Engagement Ring At Times Square. NYPD To The Rescue”

The New York Police Department said police have found the happy couple and are working to return the engagement ring after it fell down a utility grate.

They've now found them, allowing Daniella to finally slip that attractive ring on her finger.

NY police found the ring and put out an all points Twitter bulletin Saturday, looking for the victims of the matrimonial miscue.

The newly engaged pair, named by police as John and Daniella and said to be from the United Kingdom, were the subject of a mass Twitter search after New York Police Department (NYPD) shared footage of them desperately trying to retrieve the ring from a pavement grate.

"I want to clarify that I did not propose over a grate in Times Square-that's where we lost it", he said.

Finally, a photo of the happy couple who have thankfully been reunited with their precious ring.

The Midtown North precinct also got in on the game, broadening the scope of their investigation by posting their own tweet, this one with a close-up of said orphaned ring.

On Saturday, police recovered the ring but the man and woman had left without leaving their names or contact information.

They also posted a close-up photograph of the ring, which the department said it rescued and cleaned up for the couple. We're making arrangements to get them their ring back. He'd proposed and Daniella was wearing the ring when it fell off her finger. "In the end, we had no choice but to walk away and try to enjoy the rest of our weekend".

John told the BBC: "We just presumed it was gone. Case closed! Love, John, Daniella, and the NYPD".

The story has some "hopeless romantics" just as anxious as the NYPD to find the almost-engaged couple.

"We are so thankful to everyone-especially the New York Police Department and everyone who shared our story".

The couple spotted the Twitter post as soon as they touched down in London on Sunday morning.
