Motorola P40 renders leak, reveal hole-punch notch and Android One branding

Motorola P40 renders leak, reveal hole-punch notch and Android One branding”

This is the Motorola P40, a smartphone that ticks all the boxes when it comes to best-new-trends as well as essential modern phone fitness. The first of the P-series include the Motorola P30, Motorola P30 Play a.k.a Motorola One, and the Motorola P30 Note a.k.a Motorola One Power. Considering more and more smartphone makers are planning to bring the punch hole display, chances of the technology ruling 2019 are high. This device is speculated to be the successor to the Motorola P30 launched earlier this year.

The report claims that the Motorola P40 will become global under the Motorola One branding. It's likely the display's touch capabilities run over this area too - much like the first phones like this, made by Samsung.

With Huawei, Honor and even Xiaomi pushing 48MP cameras on their latest smartphones, Motorola is also joining the bandwagon with their upcoming Motorola P40. Whether credible or not, these renders clearly show a punch-hole on the top left of the device's screen, which will reportedly be 6.2-inches, and sport no notch. Notably, compared to all the sides the chin is slightly thicker considering it embeds the Motorola branding on it. The main shooter is a 48MP camera, which is likely to utilise Sony's IMX586 sensor and there's also a secondary camera for bokeh shots.

360° video render reveals Motorola P40 will ditch notch for hole-in-display

The video reveals a USB-C port on the bottom, next to the speaker grille, while the audio jack will be on the top.

The protruding dual camera setup at the back will be vertically stacked on the left. Below the rear camera is a dual LED flash, and the fingerprint scanner appears built into the Motorola logo at the centre.

The Moto P40 will measure 160.1 x 71.2 x 8.7 mm, but the camera bump will stick out to 10 mm.
