Ranveer Singh checks out the audience reaction to Simmba”

The film has raked in a total of Rs 40 crore at the box office on its second weekend.

Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan during a promotional event for their film "Simmba" in Mumbai. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Simmba minted Rs 9.02 crore and Rs 13.32 crore on its second Friday and Saturday, respectively. Simmba will surpass the lifetime collection of Bajirao Mastani today (Day 10), which stands at Rs 184.20 crore to become Ranveer Singh's second highest grosser. In Weak 2 at the box office, Simmba has earned a total collection of Rs 173.15 crore so far. The film is expected to collect bigger number today. The film which hit the screens on November 28 had a very good start and has sustained excellently in its first week which is continuing in the second week as well. The film grossed over Rs 20.72 crore on the day 1, making it Ranveer Singh's biggest opening movie to date. Directed by Rohit Shetty and bankrolled by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, Simmba has crossed Rs 100 crore mark at the box office and is now gloriously marching towards Rs 200 crore club.

Slowing no sign of slowing down, the action drama made excellent collection till Thursday, and crossed Rs 150 crore at the Indian box office. Also starring Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in key roles, the film continues its tremendous run at the ticket window unhindered.
