Omang Kumar, who has previously directed the biopics Mary Kom and Sarabjit, is now ready to make a film on honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who, in the words of Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, has had a magnanimous rise from being a poor tea-seller in his childhood days to a nation-transforming leader. He also called PM Modi as a world leader.

"The leaders warmly congratulated each other on the coming New Year". I am feeling the same kind of excitement and hunger because this is a role of a lifetime for any actor. "I think to bring him alive onscreen, to bring his persona, to bring his inspirational qualities onscreen is an incredible challenge". Fadnavis also tweeted about the film.

Omung Kumar, the director said, "This is one of the most hard and challenging role that I will be playing in my career, because to direct a film-the biopic of a man who is one of the prolific leaders in the history of India-is the most challenging thing a director could do". "I truly believe at the end of the journey, I pray I become better actor and a better human being", Vivek Oberoi had said about essaying the role of PM Modi. Vivek, we are very excited. The biopic is going to be shot in Gujarat, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Although Ssingh would not confirm whether he has sought Modi's endorsement for the film, he said that the story will begin at the beginning, with Modi's childhood.
