Sevilla chief Caparros: Major competition for Chelsea striker Morata

Sevilla chief Caparros: Major competition for Chelsea striker Morata”

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata has struggled with life at Stamford Bridge and a return to La Liga this month isn't totally out of proportion. He plays at Chelsea, not at Southampton or Brighton, with respect for these clubs'.

"The style does not suit him and he will go back". Nothing has been signed.

Benzema could be considered the key to more goals for the Blues as they look to make a final push for the top four spots in the Premier League, and amid reports of Morata and Hudson-Odoi on the move, the Benzema deal could be wrapped up this month.

Morata only joined the London outfit from Real Madrid last season, but he has failed to impress in front of goal for the most of his time in England.

The club are now reportedly looking at signing Wilson, who earned his England debut previous year and scored against the United States.

Wolves would hope to win the day by offering a Portuguese contingent to help him settle in England - which can be very tough for mid-season arrivals - and a greater degree of gametime than he might expect in competition with World Cup victor Olivier Giroud at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea need a powerful centre-forward with a presence if they are to win the top trophies and Morata doesn't appear to be the right man for the job.

"We want to continue to take the club forward and the team forward, and to do that, we've got to keep our best player".

Chelsea are now fourth in the league, 10 points behind leaders Liverpool.
