Everton Eyeing Deal for Chelsea Striker Michy Batshuayi After Valencia Loan Ends”

Indeed, Valencia boss Marcelino saw his side fall to a shock 2-1 Copa del Rey defeat to Segunda Division outfit Sporting Gijon on Tuesday, a match in which Batshuayi was hooked at half time.

Chelsea striker, Michy Batshuayi is set to return to Stamford Bridge this month after Valencia made a decision to cut his loan short.

Everton have struggled to find a regular striker to impress upfront this term with both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun struggling to score goals on a regular basis.

Everton, who already have defender Kurt Zouma on loan from Stamford Bridge, cannot take Batshuayi on loan due to restrictions on the numbers of players one club can have from another. It's a real shame that Maurizio doesn't think highly of him, as he's proven he's capable of scoring goals on a regular basis.

The striker's potential availability comes after Valencia sporting director Mateu Alemany confirmed that the 25-year-old's season long loan at the club was to be terminated early. The player knows he is leaving, we told him some weeks ago.

"I expect he will leave in the coming hours or days. He is leaving and it's now a matter of negotiation", he stressed.

Michy has only scored three goals in 23 appearances for the Spanish club but there's no doubt he would have been a danger to Celtic had Valencia even been able to call upon the striker from the bench during their doubleheader in February. "I've clearly run out of patience with certain individuals".
