Knicks and Kings Discussing Enes Kanter-Zach Randolph Trade

Knicks and Kings Discussing Enes Kanter-Zach Randolph Trade”

Both of these players have expiring contracts and will be free agents after this year.

NY and Sacramento discussing an Enes Kanter-Zach Randolph trade of expiring contracts, but nothing close yet, league sources tell ESPN.

Kanter carries an $18.6 million salary this season, while Randolph is earning $11.7 million.

The Knicks and Kings are reportedly discussing a trade that would send center Enes Kanter to Sacramento in exchange for power forward Zach Randolph.

Throughout his National Basketball Association career, Kanter has played with three different teams in seven-and-a-half seasons.

Enes Kanter #00 of the New York Knicks looks on during the game against the Sacramento Kings on March 4, 2018 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. Hence why a third team might be needed. Further, returning to the Knicks would make sense since the head coach, David Fizdale, is pretty much familiar with how to use Z-Bo, unless New York has other plans such as a waive or buyout, the NY Daily News reported.

It's unclear if this deal will materialize, but it would be a step in the right direction for the Knicks.

Hmm. Could Kanter be unhappy in NY and want a change of scenery? It would give Kanter an opportunity to play for a team making a playoff push. It's unclear what else the Knicks might be looking for in the trade.

The NBA trade deadline is February 7. It was one of the best stretches of his career as he averaged 18 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
