Ray Dalio Says Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Ideas Are Taking Root”

Democratic New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez conceded that the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela is "concerning" but stopped short of supporting President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Venezuelan president Nicholas Maduro's opposition. One of the bills includes Trump's requested $5.7 million border wall funding in exchange for three years of protection for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients and some immigrants who are under Temporary Protected Status.

"You shouldn't need a Bible to tell you to protect our planet, but it does anyway", she added.

The bill ultimately passed 229 to 184, with only six Republicans voting in favor. We could fund a lot of it by just raising that marginal tax rate to 70 percent, which is actually lower than it has been historically here in the United States, but that's what they're talking about.

"We were having conversations with our community after we voted for DHS [Department of Homeland Security] funding the first time", Ocasio-Cortez told The New York Post after House votes.

"The world is gonna end in 12 years if we don't address climate change", Ocasio-Cortez warned us earlier this week.

Either way, the "no" votes from Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday demonstrated that she's willing to break with party ranks - at least sometimes - in order to take a stand for the progressive reforms she was elected to push in Congress.

Ocasio-Cortez criticized various publications, including The Hill and Politico, for publishing articles about a recent interview she had with Stephen Colbert's "The Late Show". "So the 30 days of pay that people will be out - there's no real reason why they shouldn't be able to get a loan against it, and we've seen a number of ads from the financial institutions doing that". "That's what socialism gets you, when they want to raise your taxes to 70 percent".

The 29-year-old self-described democratic socialist went on to attack the Democratic establishment for failing to act in a sufficiently aggressive manner to combat what she believes is an immediate, existential threat.

Each day presents a fresh opportunity for a conservative to come for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez online, and without fail, people deliver.
